This board is for individuals to post threads for their own trip intentions. The idea being that any individual can start their own thread, and then for each trip they organise they can post the details for that trip and if they are late to return, then their contacts (and the police/rescue etc) know where to look for detailed information of the planned trip.
A second use for this board, is to simply announce trips that you are going on in advance, so interested parties can contact you to see if they can join your trip. If you wish to use this board for that purpose, you should post long enough before the trip, and simply signal your intention to do that canyon.
When it comes to the main Trip Intention function though, you should post the morning or night before you leave, and include all of the following details:
- What Canyon are you doing?
- What time do you intend to start, and expect to finish?
- Where are you parking?
- What route are you using to exit?
- How many members are in your group, and how many are inexperienced?
- What safety equipment do you have in the group?
After completing the trip, please post a brief summary outlining the successful nature of your trip, and mention any problems encountered and recommendations for others considering the same trip.
