Has anyone ever been to Wombeyan caves? Are there any caves there open to the public? Or are they like Jenolan?

Late reply but if you're still interested then there are five tourist caves (Figtree is spectacular!) but you will need to be on a permit trip with a caving club to see any of the others.

Allow plenty of time for the dirt road to the caves if heading from Sydney as it is very windy and rather narrow with huge exposed drops and frequent rockfalls. There is another road from Goulburn which is much faster.

They have a large campground with a kitchen with fridge and stove+bbq plates and a big hall with fireplaces + hot showers and flushing toilets.
