well folks, its officially spring and weathers warming up a bit.  I was wondering if anyone knows what conditions are like in the blue mountains at the moment.... still too cold to start canyoning again. and, if so, when do you folks traditionally start heading up again??

its been a long winter and i'm hankering to get into it again Smiley

Hi,
The overnight temps are still very low so the water will be quite chilly. But having said that, I started my wet season in the first week of September the last two years with a short outing through Empress. Last year it snowed just the day before! I wore a 5mm wettie with sharkskin vest and socks and was quite comfortable.

You could start with a few short canyons to get a feel for the conditions, ie, Empress, Yileen, Fortress.
