I'm intending  to  do Grand Canyon at night - solo this Sunday (Easter) night. It will be only 2 days past full moon so I'm hoping for a clear sky. I'll leave from Neates Glen carpark (red Forester JTB-61V) and may sleep in it when I get out depending on whether I feel like driving back to Bathurst. Should be back here online the next morning with a trip report. This will be my 7th solo canyoning trip, but my first (solo) at night. Have done night canyoning with groups before. I'm very experienced and go well prepared so shouldn't be any dramas I can't handle.

Might take a tripod and try to get some glow worm photos.

My solo trip tonight is cancelled. I was hoping to be doing this under clear skies with an almost full moon bathing the canyon with a surreal light. I'll see how cold it is next full moon and plan it again.
