G'day from W.A.

I'm tied up here up here in the Kimberley, I had a dream to write a guidebook(s) once too. Well done to Wik it.

Past lives have been: Mountain Biking and Touring. Rafting 12 months Tully, few seasons on the Nymboida, 4.5 Franklins, many seasons in WA a long time ago. I grew up kayaking since 9. Bushwalking when younger but could be tempted again. I'm scared of heights but know the ropes well and SRT which helps with swift water rescue. Canyoning when I bludged a weekend out to Bell's and Claustral with some water board guys I met on the Franklin but lost contact with (I got some great photos from that weekend so if you know who you are you know what to do or maybe I'll just post them in the gallery later)

My current life involves a lot of extreme 4wd to get to fishing spots, It's just too bloody hot here to jump, climb, walk or ride anywhere regularly.  The big lizards would put you off water sports but people have been known to test the water in certain places.

My specialty at the moment is computer mapping: GPS / OziExplorer / Google Earth. Maybe I can help with getting some of that and Kimberley info on here. If you're ever heading this way drop me a line and I'll give you some detailed information.

Wow. Great resume there Outbackrover. One of my best friends just got home from driving all through WA (and all of the other states too for that matter). Spent the last 2 years driving around the country in a camper.

Anyway, great to have you here willing to help out, particularly with the spectacular region of country that you know Smiley We're currently working on improving the mapping interface too, so that we can have GPS coordinates for every article. That way in the future we should be able to look at google maps or whatever, and have all activities in that region pinned. That will make it really easy to find fun stuff to do. 4wd, fishing, rapids etc..
